A maior premiação da TV americana, o Emmy, aconteceu nesta segunda-feira (17) e entregou o prêmio de Melhor série dramática para “Game of thrones”. No entanto, a grande campeã da noite, vencendo cinco categorias, foi a série de comédia “The marvelous mrs. Maisel”.

Em segundo lugar ficou a segunda temporada de “American Crime Story”, sobre o assassinato de Gianni Versace, com três estatuetas. Entre os estúdios, a Netflix, maior indicada do ano, empatou com a HBO, com seis vitórias cada. FX e Amazon levaram cinco cada uma.

A cerimônia foi comandada pelos comediantes Colin Jost e Michael Che e contou com referências à falta de diversidade em Hollywood, piadas em relação aos escândalos de abuso sexual na indústria e ao cancelamento de “Roseanne” após o comentário racista feito pela protagonista.

No entanto, um dos momentos que mais chamou atenção no evento foi quando o diretor da cerimônia do Oscar 2018, Glenn Weiss, pediu sua namorada em casamento no momento em que ele recebia um troféu na categoria de melhor direção em especial de variedades.
